The Project:
Staff Augmentation with Health Choice Network
The Client:
- Health Choice Network (HCN)
- Providing services in 20 states and territories
- Nearly three (3) million unique patients
The Situation:
Health Choice Network needed an experienced Epic consultant able to complete a wide variety of build work to help prepare for their first Epic go-live with five of their Community Health Centers. Experience with EpicCare Ambulatory and Behavioral Health was required due to the outstanding Epic build prior to going live. The role also required knowledge of Epic Chronicles imports/exports to help with the build and analysis.
The Approach:
With prior knowledge of Health Data Movers’ high-quality consultants and Epic expertise, HCN engaged our team. After only a few weeks on the job, veteran HDMer Jacob Zubler was able to plug in and even identify additional solutions needs, including fixes to Orders, Cadence, Prelude, and Bridges work queues.
In the days leading up to go-live, the HDM team continued working to complete Epic Orion project tasks, building remaining behavior health screening forms, building e-consents forms, and managing the MediSpan medication load.
The Results:
HDM provided HCN with expertise and execution, enabling success in HCN’s first go-live, which quickly made HDM a trusted partner. Post the inaugural go-live, HDM experts to assisted with the post go-live clean-up and prepared HCN for the next go-live wave. The team continued to support, working on Epic Ambulatory issue tickets, Medispan monthly medication load, lab account mapping, and optimization projects and tickets.
HDM provided HCN with quality consultants that positively impacted the first go-live and quickly made us a trusted partner. This led to easier placement of consultants on subsequent projects due to a great first impression.
